A new school year brings lots of exciting Ermine Primary sports activities and events!
This term has seen the Ermine football team begin their training for another season in the Lincs league. We have already had one league fixture vs Monks Abbey. A solid effort from our squad, who showed marvellous resilience, sportsmanship and determination, but unfortunately the result finished 5-3 to Monks Abbey (however, our goalkeeper managed to score from a goal kick!)
We have fixtures against Our Lady’s of Lincoln (4th October) and Westgate Primary (date TBC) which are both home fixtures, so be sure to come down and show your support.
We have many fixtures over the whole school year and shall hopefully be entering competitive tournaments as well, which will allow students an opportunity to play competitively. Please note, around thirty students attend training each week, yet only nine people can be selected per fixture. Year 6’s will all be guaranteed at least one competitive game selection over the school year.
Mr Hobson returned from a P.E. Co-ordinators meeting last week with a vast variety of sporting tournaments and events for Ermine Primary Academy to enter for all ages and abilities!
Amazing events include Tag Rugby, Goalball, Football, Kwik Cricket, Key Stage 1 Multiskills, Tennis, Athletics, Netball, Lacrosse and more! The events cover a range of year groups throughout the whole school year. More information shall we made available nearer the time.
We at Ermine Primary can’t wait to get started showing off all our sporting ability and to learn some exciting new sports!
Mr Hobson has just completed his new sporting equipment order which is incredibly exciting! This will provide brand new equipment for a huge range of sports including a lacrosse kit, new rounders kit, rugby balls, basketballs, dodgeballs, netballs, volleyballs and nets, new football goals, early play sets and much more! This will provide our students with the opportunity to take part in many new sporting activities and we can’t wait to use all our lovely new equipment!
Tuesday’s are the days for Netball with Mrs McClarron and Miss Truswell already dusting off their netball trainers and leggings to get training our budding new netballers. With league and tournament games throughout the year, we can’t wait to hear how brilliantly our super netballers do!
Monday – Synergy run Archery each Monday for Year 5.
Tuesday – Netball (Year 5 and 6) with Mrs MClarron and Miss Truswell.
Multisports with Synergy.
Wednesday – Fencing with Synergy (Year 4)
Thursday – Football (Year 5 and 6) with Mr Hobson. Golf with Synergy (Year 3)
Have a great half-term everybody. See you when we get back.
